The actress, model, activist bears much resemblance to her character in Harry Potter.
Emma Watson is that woman who every teenager has a crush on. Everyone says that puberty did her right, but that's not what makes this woman the most charming person you'll ever see. Here is how she has proved her worth over the years:
1. She put her education before everything.
In the movie and the books, Hermione was the only one out of the trio who finished her schooling at Hogwarts after defeating the Dark Lord. Due to her acting career, Emma had to take gaps between her education, however, she finished her graduation in English Literature from Brown University, even though it took her an additional year to do so. She is also a certified yoga instructor!
2. Just as Hermione, Emma's choices aren't mainstream.
Emma mostly opts for cinematic adaptations of books, such as Harry Potter and Beauty and the Beast, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Noah etc. She's currently filming for Little Women based on the coming of age novel of the same name by Louisa May Alcott. Looks like Emma takes "light reading" very seriously.
3. She is never afraid to take on challenges.
We know how well read Hermione was, and how she wasn't afraid of any challenges in studies. Emma too has repeatedly proved her intelligence through her public statements. One such example is when people around her started claiming that her character 'Belle' in the Disney movie, Beauty and the Beast, was affected by Stockholm Syndrome, (a condition where a hostage begins to develop a psychological alliance with their captors as a survival strategy during captivity). She took her time out to research on the matter, before claiming the following:
“Belle actively argues and disagrees with [Beast] constantly. She has none of the characteristics of someone with Stockholm syndrome because she keeps her independence, she keeps that freedom of thought.”
4. Knows the value of friendship.

Several fan theories claim that Draco Malfoy, played by Tom Felton, had a crush on Hermione Granger. And from various entertainment sources, we believe that ship has finally sailed. Tom and Emma are known to have a great bonding and are often seen in each other's company.
5. Isn't afraid to speak her mind.
Hermione Granger was passionate about helping others and had started a welfare organization for elves called S.P.E.W. Emma has been extensively working towards women's rights and was appointed as a UN Women Goodwill ambassador in 2014. Later that year, she delivered a speech for her UN Women campaign HeForShe, which calls for men to advocate for gender equality at the UN Headquarters in New York, snippets of which still continue to circulate the internet:
"The belief that men and women should have equal rights and opportunities. It is the theory of the political, economic and social equality of the sexes."
